Establish the starting state

Drama Skills gives contact actions prerequisites and results: approach, touch, apply force and object change. Transfers specify hands, reception and release. This diagnoses ambiguity without guaranteeing every model can execute it.

Original shot: archivist Ye Tang gives a sealed envelope to a collector. Ye holds it in her right hand; the collector’s hands are empty across the counter. The ending has the collector holding it securely and Ye’s hand withdrawn. The seal stays closed.

A reference already showing the collector holding it is not the starting state for this transfer. Match the reference to the shot boundary before describing movement.

Example: make the transfer order explicit

Ambiguous draft: “She naturally hands him the envelope; both turn away simultaneously, cinematic and fluid.” It omits reception and compresses dependent stages.

Explicit example:

Start: Ye holds the sealed envelope above the counter in her right hand. The collector faces her with empty hands.

Ye moves it within reach. The collector supports both sides with both hands. Once it is secure, Ye releases her right hand and withdraws it behind the counter.

End: only the collector holds the envelope; the seal remains intact. Both still face the counter, without turning or opening it.

The framing must show contact and ownership; duration must accommodate the process. A departure can belong to a later shot if the accepted storyboard permits that division.

The table repairs requirements rather than proving every defect comes from prompting. Clear instructions can still fail. Compare regeneration, shot division or another production method, checking story meaning before changing the handover.

When the process must remain visible

A routine delivery may cut from before transfer to secure possession. A scene proving contact, a changed seal or a hesitant acceptance needs its consequential process.

Replacing voluntary delivery with an accidental slide changes responsibility. Preserve agency, quantity, seal state, knowledge and final ownership when adjusting realization.

Watch neighboring shots normally, then inspect contact frames. A beautiful still cannot establish a successful transfer, and a planned ending is not evidence that the generated clip reached it.

FAQ

What if a clear handoff prompt still fails?

Inspect the output and compare regeneration, storyboard adjustment or another production method. A planned ending is not success evidence.

Do it with the skill

Use $short-drama-video-prompts to clarify this accepted handoff: quantity, occupied hands, contact, secure reception, release and ending. Check hand conflicts and neighboring shots. Add no opening, duplicate object or new outcome. If overloaded, report storyboard adjustments. [Shot and observed failure].
